Panel Box Prints

The Panel Box Prints are now on sale for $25 each!!!

These panel box prints are a great addition to any space. The dimensions are 5”x7”x1.5”. You simply hang them on a nail or screw. These are high quality prints signed by the artist. A thick resin coating is applied over the entire box which gives it a glass-type finish.

Check them out here!

Beautiful Handmade One Of A Kind Purses

I'm so excited about this new project. I've teamed up with Alyson Mathes and her company Design du Jour for this brand new project. Alyson and I wondered what it would be like to blend my images with her unique purses. So we decided to see what we could come up with. Well I can honestly tell you things are looking pretty good. We've only just started the process and I can't wait to see what we can come up with.

When we get further along in the game I will clue you in on where and how to purchase. In the mean time - wish us luck!!

Callin' it a week

It was a long week of painting and resin. Got a pretty good jump on the painting. The upcoming few days are the fun part. I can really start to lay in the detail, and tighten everything up.

Rainy Gloomy Thursday

Got a little more done today. It's hard to get motivated when it pours down rain. It's been so dark in the studio all day... I've really just wanted to take a nap.

Sticky Fingers

Started the first batch of Resin Coated Box Prints.
Step one was staining the sides of each box to match the particular print.

Next was to glue each image to the corresponding box and clear coat them.

Then, carefully pour the 2 part clear coat resin over each box. This is incredibly messy, and I haven't figured out a cleaner way to do it.

There are tons of bubbles left in the resin, so you have to use a blow torch to make them raise to the surface.

Now they will sit untouched for 24 to 48 hours, and I will sand the hardened resin drips off the bottom, sign the inside, and they will be ready to sell. If you're interested in a purchase, you can send me an email patrick@patrickfatica.com

Even on Saturday

Somehow I managed to do a little painting today. I hardly ever get the chance to work on a Saturday... Usually because of the drinks Friday night. Last night was drinks free as we went to the opening at C Emerson Fine Arts. Thanks to everyone that came out.
I will get back to the bendy piece in a bit, but I have a couple last minute shows to do paintings for (more on those later). See you on Monday.

Check out the finished painting here

Tuesday...

Got a little done today... I hate how much is lost in these bendy paintings with a digital photograph versus the real thing in real life... I wish there was a way to make it translate better.

Today's Paint Slop

Threw some paint on the bendy board today... Thinking of all my friends up north freezing cold for inspiration. It was 60 degrees today and sunny.

Something Bendy This Way Comes....

Started a new series of paintings on bendable Luan panels. I'm using the bends in the boards to force perspective... So far so good. I'm expecting to have around 5 in the series... I just started the painting on this one yesterday. I built the framework last week.

This was the first bendy painting. You will have to wait for the show (undetermined as of yet) to see all of them.
