Working for the Weekend

Finished this painting today. Just under the wire.  This piece will be present at my upcoming show at The Peacock Room in November. No title yet, but I've got a few ideas. Starting a new drawing now, and I'll post it when it's finished

Third Time's A Lot

I have a solo show coming up in November at The Peacock Room in Orlando FL. I also have a group show coming in October at Mother Falcon's - Zombies II. I don't have any new work because all of the stuff I've done this year is at XL Gallery, or has been sold. So, I'm working on 3 paintings at once, and feeling a little overwhelmed.

This piece is just a couple days in. You can see the pencil study in a post below.

These are the 2 zombies that I'm working on. Above is the pencil sketch, for the newest, and below is the other. I'm only 2 days in on it, so there is a long way to go. She doesn't look like a zombie yet, but she will. You can see the blood sketch below.

Hanging Today

Hanging my show at The Peacock Room Today. It's always fun hanging a solo show. Deciding the order in which you want people to see the work is kind of like being in a band, and deciding the song order for a show or album. I won't know exactly what I'm going to do until I get there.

November

Here are the posters for my solo "Fables of the Equinox" show November 16th at The Peacock Room.

The autumn season begins with the Equinox. The new season is the perfect setting for the annual Patrick Fatica art show at the Peacock Room. For the 4th annual show, beginning November 16th, Fatica will have his latest paintings from 2009 on display along with a few works from 2008. Patrick Fatica’s evocative scenes each create their own visceral narrative. The show’s title “Fables of the Equinox” is representative in the 2009 paintings. The new images portray the evolution of the seasons depicting his haunting beauties as solitary figures in bazaar seasonal dream worlds. Featured at The Peacock Room will be original oil paintings and framed and canvas limited edition prints for sale. Fatica also has what he calls “propaganda” for sale. This includes necklace pendants, ID cases, and lunchbox purses.
